Ducks forward Ondrej Kase out 5-6 months with torn labrum

Ondrej Kase is done for the season.

The Ducks forward suffered a shoulder injury in Anaheim's 3-0 win over the Wild last Thursday and will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum, the team announced.

Ducks general manager Bob Murray said Kase's recovery timeline is five to six months following the procedure, which is scheduled for Jan. 30.

This isn't Kase's first setback this season, as he previously missed the first 18 games after suffering a concussion in a preseason game against the Kings on Sept. 26.

Kase, 23, finishes his season with 11 goals and nine assists in 30 games. He set career highs with 20 goals and 18 assists in 66 games last season.
