The Flyers have made the first trade of what could be many before the Feb. 25 deadline.
Philadelphia announced Friday it has dealt forward Jordan Weal to the Coyotes for a sixth-round pick and AHL defenseman Jacob Graves.
Philadelphia acquired Weal in a multi-player deal from the Kings for Vincent Lecavalier in 2015.
He had a good season in 2017-18 tallying eight goals and 13 assists, but has struggled to score this year recording just nine points (3 goals, 6 assists) in 28 games for the Flyers.
The Flyers have the second-worst record in the NHL at 16-22-6 and rumors are starting to surround the team on possible trades the team could make.
Wayne Simmonds is a free agent after the season and is one of the bigger names that the team could shop on the market.
