Penn State coach James Franklin has always been known to connect with his recruits and fan base in a personal way, but a gesture he made Friday might have taken that connection one step further for one fan.
Nittany Lions fan Matt Siggins tweeted his thanks to Franklin for video chatting with Siggins' father Kevin, who is currently fighting a grade four brain tumor. Siggins shared the whole interaction between the two and his father was a little emotional once he realized who was on the phone.
Siggins said in the tweet, "Thank you for making my fathers night. We will never forget this moment."

Franklin thanked the Siggins for their support and even offered them tickets to Penn State's game against Nebraska on Saturday.
"I wanted to call you guys. I heard what has been going on and I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your guys' support," Franklin said. "And also wanted to let you guys know we're going to get you some tickets for tomorrow's game if you guys can make it."
The reaction from the Siggins family was priceless as Franklin reminds fans everywhere that it's about more than just football.
