Xiaomi’s latest flagship, the Mi 10 series recently went on sale and it looks like they were a hit. Reports coming straight from Xiaomi themselves and out of China indicate that the Xiaomi Mi 10, which unveiled last week, brought in over CNY200 million (RM118,766,500) in its first sale and was out of stock in seconds. Now, the Mi 10 Pro has taken that spot by selling out in just 55 seconds in their first sale for the device.
This equals out to both devices generating over CNY 200 million (RM118,766,500) each, making them a pretty penny it seems. The previous Mi 10 which went on sale earlier, ended up selling out in 60 seconds, so just a bit slower than it’s Pro big brother.
That’s a substantial amount of smartphones to be sold in such a limited amount of time, but I guess it goes to show the popularity of Xiaomi’s devices in China. That’s really not a surprise considering that the phones are packing some heat with reasonable prices. The Mi 10 Pro comes in 3 variants:
- 8GB/256GB for CNY4999 (RM~2900)
- 12GB/256GB at CNY5499 (RM~3260)
- 12GB/512GB at CNY5999 (RM~3550)
That along with a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED curved display with 90Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 865 processor and a quad came setup with 108MP main shooter, makes the device pretty desirable if you ask me. It’s no surprise that the devices are popular, but it is surprising that it sold out that fast.
