A man wanted for allegedly ramming his car into a van in central Hastings has been arrested..
Police issued a warrant to arrest Raquada-Charles Edwards after the van, which had six passengers, was rammed on Heretaunga Street West on the morning of Monday, February 5.
The incident occurred after workers in the van assisted a distressed woman who was seeking safety.
A short time later a vehicle allegedly driven by Edwards began following the van.

The van is said to have been rammed about 11 times.
At one point, the ramming was so severe, the van was toppled onto its side. Four of the occupants were injured.
Edwards, 24, was apprehended by police on Thursday and was to appear in Hastings District Court on Friday on charges of assault with a weapon, male assaults female, contravening a protection order, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, wounding with intent to injure, threatening to kill and three charges of recklessly causing injury.
