The bond between humans and their pets can be stronger than many of us realize. Our pets are always the ones to see us at our worst and still be there for us, through thick and thin. The bond between Gabby and her owner became even stronger when the owner’s husband died.
Unable to take care of the large house on their own, they moved together to an apartment complex for senior citizens that allowed them to be independent, but request help whenever they needed it. They would spend their days together, doing just about everything. But soon Gabby was starting to slow down and wasn’t as active as she used to be. It was inevitable that, at her age, she was getting to the end of her rope.
