A Muslim actress has found herself under fire after posting quite the provocative picture online. Unfortunately for her, those in an outrage over the matter only seem to stem from her own religion – and Islamists everywhere are ticked.
The pictures depict Iranian actress Sadaf Taherian and were posted both on her Facebook and Instagram accounts. However, shortly after posting, she started receiving quite a bit of hate mail – but she was ready.

You see, Sadaf planned to take a few photos of herself without her hijab on and post them in protest of the religions outdated and sexist ways of life, and she decided to take the fight public. According to Mail Online, “the move has provoked a furious reaction from Iran’s ministry of culture which branded her ‘immoral’ in state media and banned her from acting.”
In fact, officials are so irate with the woman over what she did that there are reports suggesting those in charge Photoshopped hijabs onto her photos and sent them back out into circulation. The frequency of threats and their severity are so bad that Sadaf has found herself in a sort of exile in Dubai, but she’s not backing down.
“I did not expect this from the people of Iran, from my own culture – to hear so many insults,” she went on to add. “I can only feel sorry for their reaction and I have nothing else to say. I want to live in a place and live the way that makes me happy.”

While in the public spotlight, Sadaf has since decided to take things one step further and has even exposed sexual harassment she’s experienced during her time as an actress.
“It bothered me when I was acting and the director was thinking about me in any way except acting,” she revealed. “He was only waiting for the scene to finish so he could whisper in my ear again. They would put five or six contracts in front of me with only one condition: one month – to be with them.”
Although she’s waiting for all this to blow over, once it has, she’s ready to begin rebuilding her career in her hometown. Unfortunately, this is what women within the Muslim faith often encounter – and the left surely doesn’t want you to know about it.
Liberals can pretend to be so-called “champions of women’s rights,” but if you could support something as oppressive and uncivilized as the religion of Islam, then it’s a bold face lie. You have to pick one or the other – you don’t get to have your cake and eat it too.
