Yesterday marked the kick-off of Childish Gambino’s “Summertime Starts Here” pop-ups, which take place in New York, Los Angeles, and London this weekend. The first event took place at New York’s Union Square, where ice cream trucks handed out free cones to fans. Pop-ups are also scheduled for Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Park (July 14), L.A.’s Santa Monica Pier (July 14) and Fairfax High School (July 15).

There’s also a pop-up on Saturday at London’s Lovebox festival, which Childish Gambino headlines that same night. Attendees will have the chance to purchase special vinyl editions of his 2016 album, “Awaken, My Love!”, featuring the album’s original title, Operation Highjump. Childish Gambino’s creative director Ibra Ake revealed the artwork on Instagram, writing, “before that we called the album a different name and it was gonna look like this.”
