Back in February, Thom Yorke, who has a notoriously thorny relationship with technology, became suddenly quite active on Twitter. At first, his sparse, poetic messages (“disinformation,” “do you see his smile?”) seemed like potential lyrics. Combined with the new songs he’d been debuting at live shows, his behavior led many to believe that a new album might be on the way. After all, Radiohead are no strangers to the mysterious internet-based album rollout.

But four months later and with no album news on the horizon, could Yorke’s cryptic trail of tweets just be some kind of weird viral marketing for Radiohead's upcoming tour? Or Luca Guadagnino’s Suspiria remake, which Yorke is scoring?) Or is this just... how Thom Yorke tweets now?
