Flyers first-round pick Nolan Patrick was treated for the facial infection that prevented him from skating this week.
“Nolan had an abscess/boil that has been addressed and he is doing well,” Flyers general manager Ron Hextall said in a brief statement released Friday evening.
Patrick, the No. 2 overall pick, had sports hernia surgery prior to June’s draft and was held out of the team’s rookie development camp earlier this month.
