The Moving Murrays have hit a few speed bumps in their lead up to running the Ports of Auckland Round the Bays.
The Moving Murrays are made up of Catherine Murray, Hannah Murray and Sam Murray. The Greenlane family have taken up an eight-week training challenge for 8.4 kilometre fun run Round the Bays, which is sponsored by Stuff.
Catherine Murray said with school and hobbies starting back up, fitting in as much exercise as possible had been a huge challenge.
"Life has hit," Murray said.

But despite their busy schedules after school, their extra curricular activities would help with the Round the Bays challenge, Murray said.
Hannah, 11, has started at a new school, joined choir, and is getting back into soccer and dance.
Her 8-year-old brother Sam has also gone back to school and plays soccer and the drums.
Sam said he also wanted to play touch rugby this year.
He also thought drumming helped with exercising his arms and increasing his stamina, he said.
When Hannah and Sam played soccer this year the field would be bigger, Murray said.
"The pitch grows with them so that will help too as their fitness will need to improve," she said.
Hannah and Sam were also taking part in the Weet-bix Kids TRYathlon which was a mid-term goal, Murray said.
"It'll get them used to having lots of people around them."
Sam was excited to be taking part in the TRYathlon, he said.
"The biking part is hilly but it's my favourite thing."
At the children's soccer trials Murray would be at the gym instead of sitting and chatting to other parents like she used to, Murray said.
She had been getting on the treadmill regularly and tried to incorporate fitness as much as she could, she said.
"It's made me get up early and do my run," Murray said.
She also thought it had a good impact on her wellbeing as she felt calmer during the day, Murray said.
Round the Bays is an annual event where participants run, walk or jog 8.4 km. The run starts from the city and goes along the waterfront at St Heliers Bay.
