Another addition to the 2020 class.

A little over 24 hours after Jeremy Pruitt made his public case for 2020 receivers to commit to Tennessee, the Vols added a commitment at the position.

Darion Williamson, a three-star receiver from Brownsville, Tennessee, pledged his commitment to the Volunteers on Wednesday night.

The 6-3, 190 pound athlete is the 533rd overall player in the class of 2020, according to 247 Sports. Williamson is the 19th ranked player to come out of the state of Tennessee in the 2020 cycle.

Williamson picked up his offer from Tennessee on May 23rd, quickly following an offer from the Memphis Tigers.

“I watched a clip of the Media Days thing with Coach Pruitt, and everyone knows what he said about the four wide receivers being seniors and, if you’re a wide receiver, then Tennessee would be a great landing spot,” Williamson told 247 Sports. “I was already thinking that, and that just pulled me even closer.”

Williamson is Tennessee’s first commitment at the position for the 2020 class. He actually plays receiver and defensive end for Haywood High School, but most likely projects on the offensive side of the ball, considering the need.
