Clickbait! Oooh, what a time to be alive.
That’s right, Donovan Mitchell was selected for his second All-Star Weekend appearance. While he won’t be participating in the Slam Dunk Contest, he was unsurprisingly selected for his second Rising Stars challenge, as part of the United States team. His name was the first announced by the official @NBAAllStar page.

It’s crazy to see how far Donovan Mitchell has come in just a year and a half or so in the NBA. Taking a look at the teams, it’s crazy how Donovan has risen beyond the pack to superstar status, especially with his dominant play in 2019.
Donovan should start the game, have some cool dunks, avoid injury (fingers and toes crossed, knocking on wood), and hopefully have a nice rest period - in preparation for other games that weekend, right?
At the end of the day, it’s an exhibition game – an opportunity for Donovan to continue to grow his brand, show off some cool moves, and maybe flaunt his new line of shoes with Adidas. We’re all super proud of Donovan and his rising star as the NBA’s Leader of the New School.
