Evan exec will wait before assessing Senate health bill

LEWISBURG — Opposition among U.S. Senate Republicans reportedly prompted a delay in voting on the current health care bill. A Congressional Budget Office report predicted earlier this week that the proposal could lead to 22 million more citizens not having health care coverage.

Early indications also predicted hard times for rural hospitals. The vote is now not likely until after the Independence Day recess.
