If you haven’t yet watched the latest episode of Game of Thrones – this article will definitely contain spoilers and you’ll want to look away now.
So far Arya Stark has undoubtedly claimed the biggest kill this season and probably in the show’s history, after she plunged a dagger into the stomach of the Night King, defeating the Army of the Dead.
We all know by now, about the prophecy that Melisandre put before Arya – about killing three significant characters.
“Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes. Eyes you’ll shut forever,” Melisandre memorably tells Arya in the third season, before repeating it again in the latest series.
Unsurprisingly that led many to believe that the green eyes refer to Cersei Lannister – a pretty reasonable assumption all things considered.
However, with growing feelings that Daenerys has not taken kindly to Jon having a right to the throne, a theory has been put forward that Arya could actually target Khaleesi.
Fans have pointed out the camera-work in the last episode, suggesting the intentional close-ups on Daenerys’ face were to remind us that she too has green eyes.

It’s worth noting that in the books, Daenerys actually has purple eyes – but the showrunners have been known to deviate from their source material.
