If you’re a fan of all things chicken and KFC, and you’re based in the United Kingdom then you’ll be pleased to know that the fast food chain has started selling their iconic hot wings for just £5.99.
Now I hear you, why would I pay £6 for hot wings when the deal is normally 2 for 99p? Well this deal is actually TWENTY hot wings for £6, which works out at 3x more than what you’d normally get for that much. Exciting, right?
Obviously, they’re subject to availability and are only available in participating stores, but according to the official KFC website you’ll be able to get your hands on one of the exciting new buckets every day from 17th June to the 14th July.
If you’re not in the UK, then unfortunately this deal isn’t for you, but there is some exciting news swirling around in Australia about a new chicken nugget burger.
According to Australia’s 7News, the Nug-A-Lot is what all our dreams are made of. Whirlpooluser ‘hastyusername’ appears to be the first person who spotted this chicken concoction, writing, “There’s a new item on the not-so-secret-menu. Called a Nug-a-lot. Basically a fillet burger with nuggets, cheese and supercharged sauce. It has potential lol.”
To access the secret menu, Aussies have to download the KFC app, select the nearest branch and tap order as soon as the menu pops up. You should then drag the screen down and press it until you see the famous Colonel (it should take about 11 seconds).
Speaking to 7News, KFC Australia’s chief marketing officer Kristi Woolrych explained the origin of the Nug-A-Lot: “Like The Colonel, we want to keep the rest of the items a secret, so you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled with new items added every month so stay tuned.”
It sounds like the Colonel is working on some more secret items, so there’s no news on how long the Nug-A-Lot will be sticking around for. Also, it sounds like the option is only available in Australia (for now).
