There’s no denying that Marvel has gone beyond the light-hearted tone we may have once associated with a comic book universe.
The MCU has offered up some incredible moments of cinema (don’t tell Scorsese) and a long list of genuinely heart-wrenching moments.
One of the most well known comic book stories is that of Peter Parker’s origin story and path to becoming Spider-Man. Part of that story is Parker’s uncle Ben being tragically murdered.
That begs the question then, why anyone thought this greetings card would be a good idea…

That’s one way to ‘celebrate’ your uncle’s birthday I guess. Unsurprisingly people were very confused about the sentiment.

Marvel fans were recently delighted by the news that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man would remain part of the MCU, after Disney and Sony struck up a deal.
As part of the arrangement, Spider-Man will also appear in a future Marvel Studios film. Amy Pascal will also produce through Pascal Pictures, as she has on the first two Holland-led films.
“I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it,” said Feige. “Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold.”
Pascal echoed that same excited sentiment: “This is terrific,” she said. “Peter Parker’s story took a dramatic turn in ‘Far From Home’ and I could not be happier we will all be working together as we see where his journey goes.”
