Betty White turns 97 - says she still has to turn down offers of work

Betty White turns 97 today and her birthday wish is "for Robert Redford to call".

The actress' rep told US Weekly that White is feeling great about turning 97.

"She still loves to work and the offers keep coming in."

According to the former Golden Girls star's rep, when she's not fielding acting gig offers she spends her time hanging out with her friends.

"In [the] evening, Betty is playing poker with friends that she has played with for decades," the rep told US Weekly.

Many of the actresses fans took to Twitter to send her birthday wishes.

In 2016, a Betty White fan set up a fundraiser to "protect" the actress from the high number of celebrity deaths which occurred that year - including David Bowie, Prince, Alan Rickman, George Michael and Carrie Fisher.
