Firefighters are battling a grass fire in Hawke's Bay.
Central Region fire communications manager Carlos Dempsey said they were notified of the blaze at Ongaonga at 3:45pm on Wednesday.
It was initially thought the 100-metre long blaze could threaten property but a change in wind direction had pushed the fire away and towards a creek bed.
Crews were working to contain and extinguish the fire.
