KJ Apa plays guitar on the latest episode of Riverdale.
One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray has joined the cast of Riverdale, headed up by Kiwi KJ Apa.
According to E! news, Murray will play the mysterious leader of The Farm, a cult that has its hooks in the Cooper family, specifically Alice (Mädchen Amick), the mother of main character Betty (Lili Reinhart).
"As the enigmatic leader of the cult-like Farm, Edgar arrives in Riverdale to spread his teachings and heal the ravaged soul of this once wholesome town," reads the official description of the cult leader.

Riverdale, which streams on Netflix, is a modern reworking of the classic Archie Comics, which were themselves reworked in the noughties.
Starring Kiwi and former Shortland Street star KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, it's a dark, often chrilling, melodrama about a group of teens in a small semi-rural US town.
Seasons 1-3 of the hit show are currently streaming on Netflix, with a new season expected to land on February 28.
