Upgrading A 2017 Polaris Slingshot SL With Overnight Bags

SSB’s Slingshot Bolt-On Series adds custom-fit luggage to our 2017 Polaris Slingshot SL

For part three of our 2017 Polaris Slingshot project we upgraded the looks of our interior with a factory color-matched accent kit. This time we made the most use of our luggage space with the Overnight and Side Storage bags.

As we’ve stated before, the Slingshot is really great at doing Slingshot things. But something that it does not do well is storage. There are two small, awkwardly shaped storage compartments behind each seat. Their dimensions make using standard luggage nearly an impossibility. A backpack can be used, but then all the available space isn’t being fully utilized. While it seems odd to need more than $400 worth of custom bags, they actually turned out to be incredibly handy and worth the price for a true SS enthusiast.

Take full advantage of any available space.

When it comes to luggage, no one does it better than Ogio, and the driver- and passenger-side Overnight bags are a must-have accessory for any serious Slingshot owner. They make an overnight trip with the double-S much less of a hassle. The bags fit the space of the storage perfectly and take full advantage of every nook and cranny available. The passenger-side luggage includes a Leveler Bag that fills a small space under the Overnight Bag and is ideal for fitting tools, etc.

The Side Storage Bags also add more convenience than you might think. They are perfect for carrying maps (who uses maps anymore?), tools, or emergency accessories. They are held in with Velcro straps, which make accessing them a breeze.

Slide the Side Storage Bag in and Velcro down. That’s it!

It’s these type of factory accessories that separate owning a Polaris from other novelty vehicles. Obviously some engineer smarter than me made a product that I would have never known I couldn’t live without.
