October is jam-packed when it comes to smartphone launches, LG launched its V40 ThinQ last week, tomorrow sees the official unveiling of the already familiar Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL handsets, Huawei will announce its Mate 20 series on October 16th while ASUS will take the wraps off its ROG gaming phone just two days later. Seeking a little limelight of its own is OnePlus who has finally revealed that it will take the wraps off the OnePlus 6T on October 30th.

We’ve seen from previous leaks both official and unofficial, that the OnePlu 6T will launch sporting an in-display fingerprint reader and a reduced notch in the form of a teardrop, which may help appease those that have a severe dislike of the presence of a notch. Something that may polarize opinion is the omission of the 3.5mm audio jack, which is a feature that OnePlus made a big deal about when it launched the OnePlus 6 back in May. The removal of the audio jack will increase battery capacity, although it’s unknown at present just how much bigger the OnePlus 6T’s battery will actually be.
When the OnePlus 6 launched a few months ago, it naturally came with a bump in price tag over the OP5T, which led to some complaints about price creep. It’s likely that the OnePlus 6T will also cost a little more. We’ll only find out pricing on October 30th but we do know that it will be available to order in Europe and the UK from November 6.
