Samsung rumored to sell the Galaxy Note 9’s S Pen separately

TalkAndroid

Just two days away from Samsung officially announcing the Galaxy Note 9 at an Unpacked event in New York on August 9th, and after many leaked images of the handset and its retail packaging, yet another rumor has surfaced saying that Samsung could sell the S Pen as a separate accessory. Join us after the break for more details.

According to SamMobile, the S Pen is believed to pack Bluetooth connectivity, a small battery that can provide up to 30 minutes of use with just 40 seconds of charging, and will be included in the box with every Galaxy Note 9. Samsung is thought to be making the S Pen available as a separate product so that users can both them in whichever color they want as well as replacing them if lost.

Remember all the talk of Fortnite launching on Android as an exclusive on the Galaxy Note 9? Well, the rumor corroborates this rumor by saying that Galaxy Note 9 buyers will be able to choose between $150 in V-Bucks or a pair of wireless, noise canceling headphones from AKG worth $150. For an extra $100, buyers can opt to get both of the pre-order incentives.

Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy Note 9’s camera is said to be getting AI abilities that will allow it to decide the ideal camera mode based on environment and subject and tell the user of eye-blinking or excessive hand-shaking. Hopefully, this won’t involve the use of Bixby.

With just two days to go, there isn’t much that we don’t already know about the Galaxy Note 9 but hopefully, Samsung will have a surprise up its sleeve to keep things interesting.
