Austin has a slew of great hotel options—and, as you can tell by the changing skyline, plenty more are on the way—but now there's a new, affordable place to catch some shut-eye: Native Hostel. And, to put it in their words, they're curating a culture of "Fuck yes."
So what exactly does a "Fuck yes" culture imply? A boutique brand mixed with affordable lodgings, apparently. The hostel, which comes from a team that has given us the likes of Eberly and The Mohawk, is a funky, industrial-esque space (the building is 70-years-old) with 12 rooms and 68 beds that guests can rent from $59 to $115 per night. Each room has a private shower and bathroom, so there's no need to scuttle down the hall in a towel. A community kitchen gives everyone a chance to cook when they please, but there will also be a regular brunch and dinner series from up-and-coming chefs.
Don't want to cook in the kitchen? Native Hostel also has a restaurant on-site called Native Bar + Kitchen, where guests can dine on burgers, sandwiches, tacos, tortas and more. A bar is in the works as well, as is an event space that plans to be used for art shows, live music and other entertainment.
