Many wrestling relationships do work out for the best with couples like Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella and a few others showing the benefits of two people falling in love with similar passions. However, there are also the bizarre ones that leave you scratching your head. Couples like Jerry Lawler and Stacy “The Kat” Carter or New Jack and Terri Runnels provided the negative stories that show how poorly things can go.

Triple H And Christy Hemme
One of the juiciest urban legends in wrestling history revolves around a potential romance of Triple H and Christy Hemme. WWE hired Christy as the first winner of the Diva Search. Millions of fans voted for her to win the contest and she seemed impressive for a rookie. Hemme received great ovations and seemed to be trying to learn the business. This made it shocking when WWE fired out of nowhere, especially since they were still trying to sell the importance of winning future Diva Search contests.
A rumor started to make the rounds that Triple H hooked up with Hemme after taking an interest in her training. The belief here is that Stephanie found out and requested WWE release Christy. It remains one of the more difficult stories to believe. Hemme would have no reason to keep this a secret all these years, especially since she would benefit from revealing it. Fans still speculate about the theory to this day.

Batista And Melina
Another odd wrestling rumor to feature shady backstage antics was the potential romance of Batista and Melina. Most people in WWE disliked Melina for reportedly having a bad attitude. Countless shoot interviews saw Paul London, Maria Kanellis and many others blast Melina for being one of the biggest Divas backstage in the worst possible. That led to them outing her dirty laundry of the a relationship with Batista.
Reports indicated that Melina got with Batista while the rest of the roster knew about it. Other wrestlers referenced it in the shoot interviews to confirm the rumors from their perspective.
Batista even wrote about it in his autobiography saying he fell in love with her. However, Melina still denies it to this day when asked about the romance in interviews. During an appearance on Jim Ross’ podcast, Melina claimed she was only friends with Batista and that it breaks her heart that people believe the rumor. It is tough to believe Melina given everyone else says otherwise, including Batista.

Michael Hayes And Rosa Mendes
An alarming rumor to make the rounds features the possible romance of a producer with power in WWE dating a younger woman on the talent roster. Michael Hayes rose up the rankings in WWE from a broadcaster to a producer due to his knowledge of the business. The insight of Hayes apparently impressed Vince McMahon enough to continue promoting him as he is one of the most powerful people backstage.
That made it quite bizarre when a report circulated that Hayes was dating WWE Diva Rosa Mendes.
The romance would have been odd enough if you factored in their age difference as Hayes is 21 years older than Mendes. However, the fact that Hayes was Rosa’s boss added a dynamic that made it seem wrong on every level. WWE reportedly suspended Hayes for a month in 2013 when he convinced Mendes to drink with him at a post-show bar hangout despite her rehab treatments to overcome alcohol addiction.
The rumor of the two being an item ended when Mendes started dating another man that was featured on Total Divas. Many fans speculated that Rosa remained on the roster due to dating Hayes even though she struggled in almost every role WWE gave her. This rumor is considered more valid than some of the others on the list, but it is even more bizarre.

Randy Orton And Jojo
Raw ring announcer Jojo is currently involved in one of the oddest romances in WWE dating Bray Wyatt. However, this wasn’t the first time Jojo found her name in controversy when it came to rumored romances in WWE.
There was a rumor of Jojo dating Randy Orton back in 2013. Despite the 14-year age gap, the two reportedly were together for a short time when she joined the roster. Jojo was just 19 years old at the time but the rumors indicated she and Orton were official. WWE initially hired her with Eva Marie to be new members of the roster for the first season of Total Divas. Jojo struggled in the ring due to her smaller size and was moved to a ring announcer position.
If the rumor is true, Orton and Jojo stopped dating before either of them made it official on Total Divas or social media. It would be weird fun fact that Jojo has now dated two members of the Wyatt Family considering Orton was Bray’s partner not too long ago. Orton and Jojo would have to be considered a top tier bizarre wrestling couple if it truly happened.

John Cena And Victoria
John Cena remained relatively bulletproof for most of his run as the face of WWE. The perception of Cena has been that he’s a great that works hard, loves the industry and went the extra mile to make countless children around the world happy on his off-time with charitable efforts. Former WWE star Ken Doane revealed a rare negative story about Cena.
Doane was the ex-boyfriend of Mickie James and claims she got with Cena. The anger of Doane towards Cena saw him make other claims about the face of WWE. Doane named fellow former WWE star Victoria as another wrestler to get with Cena while on the road. The accusation of Doane was that Victoria was Cena’s “road girlfriend” for a few months adding to the controversy.
Victoria decided to defend herself by telling her side of the story. She implied that she went on a few dates with Cena. It didn’t work out according to her side of it. Cena has never revealed any information about dating Victoria, but it would be believable given the timeline.
