Arsenal have enjoyed something of a revival under head coach Mikel Arteta. Despite only winning three times, the Gunners are proving to be a much more stubborn outfit, having conceded just 0.8 goals per game under the Spaniard, compared to over 1.4 under Unai Emery (via WhoScored).
But, Jamie Carragher thinks otherwise and prior to yesterday’s Premier League encounter between Manchester United and Chelsea, he claimed the north London outfit have got worse ‘in some ways’ under the former Manchester City assistant (Sky Sports via The Mirror).
Taking a deeper look at the comparisons between the team under the two men and it becomes even more obvious how much better the Reds are performing. The side are currently unbeaten in eight games across all competitions, their joint-longest run of the season, despite Arteta having taken charge of just 10 fixtures. Fans weren’t too happy with the former Liverpool defender as they lashed at him for his negative comments. Here are some of the replies:
