The Scottish midfielder joined the club for a fee of £7.92 million, per Transfermarkt, from Wigan Athletic. Indeed, it was a club-record transfer fee at the time and he has more than repaid that by scoring 19 goals for the South London side, picking up 17 assists.
He is adored by fans of the club and clearly they believe he has a great impact when in the starting eleven, judging by their replies to the club tweeting about his landmark appearance. With the player now 32, many are probably wondering how many more appearances he will make for the side.
