Everton
Everton fans are laying into Merseyside local Tom Davies after his poor performance against Chelsea yesterday. The Toffees were thrashed 4-0 at Stamford Bridge and supporters are pointing fingers at several players, with Davies being high up the blame list.
Chelsea made easy work of picking apart Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton side after two goals in just over 21 minutes set the tone for the afternoon. Tom Davies has been under the microscope following his recent lacklustre performances but the Stamford Bridge demolition has got fans at the end of their tether.
The 21-year-old made just 19 passes from midfield yesterday and lost possession a total of eight times. Davies was also dribbled past three times before he was brought off before the hour mark (via Sofascore).
Many Everton fans have had enough of Davies, despite his roots running deep with the Blues. One fan has complained he is ‘Championship at best’ while another has said he is ‘stealing a living’. The Merseyside local has also been slammed for being ‘overrated’.
Tom Davies fan club argument for yesterday…he wasn't our worst player on the pitch today It's simple,he's not and never will be good enough.

Tom Davies need to jog about in someone else's midfield next season. There's simply no urgency or aggression in his running, tackling, or passing.

I think Davies is the most overrated player I have ever seen how he gets a game I don’t know

“Local lad syndrome” as i call it. Fact hes scouse gives him a get out clause. If he wasnt scouse he would be hounded out tbh. Lads stealing a living. Same with jonjoe kenny. Bring him back cos hes scouse. Both not good enough.
