Responding to an update by the Athletic journalist Phil Hay, many Leeds fans have been in full voice following news that all footballing action will be suspended until April 30th at the earliest date – leaving Marcelo Bielsa’s side stuck in limbo as they aim for a return to the top flight.
The coronavirus had postponed footballing action until April 3rd, but following an updated estimate, April 30th now seems are far more realistic return date. United, who are currently sat at the top of the Championship pile. have a long wait until they can resume their promotion push – with manager Bielsa forced to cancel intensive training sessions earlier in the week by order of club officials (Football Insider).
The Whites narrowly missed out on a Premier League return last season, edging close but ultimately falling in the Championship play-off semi-finals, with many supporters hoping that the pandemic will not derail their second stab this time round. One fan even described that update as ‘awful‘.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
This is just awful

Meanwhile, don’t forget to renew your season ticket for 20/21/22 by a week tomorrow. @LUFC – the club with ‘family’ values.

How is the FA coming up with these dates? What advice are they getting and from who or are they just coming up with “sounds about right” decisions? Are they detailing their reasoning?
