Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have blasted England midfielder Harry Winks after Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold tweeted a video originally mocking Tanguy Ndombele for not working hard enough in the 3-2 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Ndombele appeared to just leave Wolves attacker Pedro Neto to run off him, but looking at the footage again Spurs fans have found another player to blame in Winks. The 24-year-old only managed a 6.4 rating on SofaScore, even worse than Ndombele who scored 6.6 after coming on as a substitute in the 76th minute for Japhet Tanganga.
Gold posted the tweet after Jose Mourinho reacted to the footage in his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup last-sixteen tie with Norwich City. He seemingly heckled and the footage generated a lot of laughter and anger towards Winks from Spurs fans. These are the best reactions:
