Tottenham Hotspur: Some fans want Daniel Levy to leave the club

Transfer Tavern

Spurs fans are still feeling hurt from yesterday’s 3-2 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League and today ‘#LevyOut’ has swooped across Twitter.

Daniel Levy has a net worth of £1 billion according to Forbes as of 2019 (article via EPLFocus) and Spurs fans have been pushing the club for years to spend bigger money in the transfer market to attract the best players to push them onto the next level.

Yet the club have, today, been linked with Watford’s 36-year-old goalkeeper Ben Foster (article via The Sun) who is worth just £1.35 million on Transfermarkt. Foster has kept nine clean-sheets in the Premier League this season (via FootyStats), but Spurs already have three international goalkeepers in Hugo Lloris, Paulo Gazzaniga and Michel Vorm.

With all this mind, these Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment in the owner:

Neither got backed, neither deserved the sack #Levyout #Enicout

Think it is time some of you spurs fans stop being so bias towards the club all the time & open your eyes and see the bigger picture that we are going backwards and it’s all because of board and nobody else #ENICout #LevyOut

I honesty cant argue with that, we are a mess, no strikers, leaky defense, unfit injury prone players, no strength in depth, a manager who cant wait 4 the end of the season and owners who refuse to invest in the team. #levyout
