Meghan Markle’s father has said “she would be better off if he died” and suggested Diana would have “loathed the way the Duchess has treated her family” in an explosive tell-all interview.

Just days before Meghan’s 37th birthday, her father Thomas has claimed to have been “cut off completely” by his daughter after telling the world she and Prince Harry want to start a family and slamming the Royal Family for “changing his daughter”.

“I used to have a phone number and text number for her personal aides at the Palace, but after I said a few critical words about the Royal Family changing Meghan, they cut me off,” he told the Mail on Sunday.

The 74-year-old claims he has not heard from his daughter for 10 weeks following an incendiary interview with Good Morning Britain during which he revealed Prince Harry’s views on Brexit and Donald Trump.

He told the newspaper it would be “better for Meghan” if he died as “everyone would be filled with sympathy for her”.

But added: “I'd hate to die without speaking to Meghan again.”
