Amy Wilson tipped the scales at 17st after years of gorging on Galaxy bars, Lindt truffles and Hotel Chocolat treats.
The 27-year-old munched up to six chocolate bars and treats a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
She first tried to lose weight after her best pal asked her to be a bridesmaid at her wedding in 2016.
The learning support assistant joined Slimming World and lost 5lbs (2.2kg) in her first week.
But Amy, of Burton-upon-Tent, Staffs., was still horrified when she looked at the wedding snaps and discovered she was the largest guest.
She said: “I always knew I had a problem with my weight but I never really bothered to lose it.
“I was always classed as overweight as a child and in my later teenage years I seemed to pile it on until I was obese.
“Junk food was definitely my downfall and I would always go for convenience over nutrition.
"I love chocolate, there would some days where all I would eat would be just chocolate. I loved all the different varieties of chocolate eggs on offer.”
In less than two years, Amy lost 7st (44kg) and now weighs 10st 7lbs (68kg), dropping five dresses and fitting into a size 10.
Her incredible weight-loss prompted her to go on regular runs in the park and sign up for the cough to 5K challenge.
"I always wanted to be thinner, it was like a mental battle and chocolate always won,” said Amy.
“I wanted to be healthier and I knew I had to really tackle my love of chocolate.”
Amy was given foods like lean meat, fish and vegetables when she started visiting her local Slimming World once a week.
"I've lost about six-and-a-half stone since I started Slimming World,” she revealed.
"They allow you a certain amount of Syns, and I'm allowed about 15 a day. One Syn is about 20 calories, and all my Syns pretty much go on chocolate. I don't go mad, I just eat a tiny square of chocolate.”
Although she hasn’t stopped eating chocolate, she treats its as more of a luxury now.
Slimming World doesn’t make people follow meal or diet plans but offer recipes for everyone to try.
Amy added: “My original weight target was 11st 6lbs but I hit that last June, so I lowered it to 10st 9lbs but I hit that in November last year.
"I'm now currently 10st 7lbs (67.9kg), and at a weight were I can finally run.
“Once I lost weight I just wanted to get healthier, so I started to run.
"I always wanted to run when I was younger but wasn't able to due to health problems.”
Following her weight loss progress, Amy admits that she feels more happy about the way she looks.
She added: "Losing the weight has made me more confident. I still enjoy my chocolate but in moderation.
"I am looking forward to Easter, I always have, but this year I've not asked for any Easter Eggs.
"I've instead asked for mini eggs or a Maltesers chocolate bunny, so I can eat them in little bits over a long time."
