Toronto FC II @ FC Tucson: Preview, Game Thread and Stream

Waking The Red

The Young Reds make a long trip to Arizona, kickoff is at 10 pm

On Wednesday night, Toronto FC II head to Arizona to take on FC Tucson. It’s a late one, with kickoff scheduled for 10 pm ET.

Toronto are unbeaten against FC Tucson this season, having drawn 1-1 in Arizona on April 13th, and won 1-0 when Tuscon visited the BMO Training Ground on May 24th for the TFC II home opener.

In their last game, on Friday, TFC II drew 1-1 with Forward Madison FC, while FC Tucson lost 1-0 to North Texas SC last Tuesday.

The Young Reds might run into a familiar face on Wednesday night. Kyle Bjornethun, who played for Toronto FC II last season, now plays for FC Tucson, but has recently been called up to Pheonix Rising FC, the USL Championship affiliate of FC Tucson. He played for FC Tucson on June 25th, so there’s a chance we see him in this game.

Toronto FC II have been recognized this week with plenty of nominations for weekly accolades.

They had two players named to the USL League One Team of the Week, defender Dante Campbell and goalkeeper Kevin Silva.
