Led by Napoleon Bonaparte himself — played by Ron Jacobs — the annual French Festival parade drew crowds to Cape Vincent for its 49th year. The festival, now a tradition of its own, celebrates the region’s French heritage, period-appropriate costumes and all.
The French Festival kicked off with a 7 a.m. pancake breakfast Saturday and ran through Sunday afternoon. Activities at the event included a French pastry and bread sale, a parade float contest, crafts, live music, fireworks and more.
