The Selective Service System is seeking a volunteer to fill an opening in the Jefferson County Selective Service Board.
The five-person board comes together in the need of a draft to make decisions about local deferments and exemptions based on an individual’s circumstances and beliefs.
Potential members must be at least 18 years old, not actively employed in a law enforcement job, not an active or retired member of the armed forces and not convicted of any criminal offense.
Male applicants must be registered with Selective Service.
