WATERTOWN — Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies charged Andrew R. Brown, 26, of 26117 Jewett Place, LeRay, with first-degree driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle without headlights at 4:28 a.m. Sunday along Factory Street, Watertown.
Deputies said Mr. Brown was stopped for driving without turning his headlights on. He was transported to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building where a breath analysis test revealed that he allegedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent.
Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is considered proof of intoxication. Aggravated DWI is charged when BAC is above 0.18 percent.
Mr. Brown was released to released to military police with an appearance ticket for City Court.
