The Community Performance Series will present the acclaimed percussion group Nexus as the 33rd annual McElheran visiting artist. The group will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday in SUNY Potsdam’s Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall at the Crane School of Music.
Formed in 1971, Nexus is a Toronto-based percussion ensemble that has performed with some of the top orchestras in the world. The group’s original arrangements range from novelty ragtime and African rhythms to award-winning improvised film music and ground-breaking compositions.
Performance tickets can be purchased at the CPS Box Office in the lobby of SUNY Potsdam’s new Performing Arts Center, by calling 315-267-2277 or by visiting www.cpspotsdam.org. Tickets also can be purchased in person at Brick & Mortar Music in downtown Potsdam. Prices range from $15 to $30, with discounts for seniors. For every adult or senior ticket purchased, CPS will offer one free student ticket (grades pre-K to 12). This offer is only available through the CPS Box Office.
