HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A Hendersonville man said he plans to take his grandchildren on a beach vacation with a Cash 5 jackpot he won on Tuesday.

Daniel Weisner Jr. said he called the lottery helpline twice because he thought he heard the winning numbers wrong. Weisner had been playing the same numbers for a few weeks, one of which was his high school basketball number, #22.

When he called his wife Teresa to tell her they won $341,314, he said she thought he was joking.

“He’s usually right about everything,” said Teresa. “But especially with numbers. I should have known.”

Weisner bought the winning ticket at Norm's Minit Mart on Spartanburg Highway for $1.

He said he plans to use part of it to take his four grandchildren to the beach and will save the rest.

“This will definitely help with retirement,” said Weisner. “We are lucky.”
