CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Officers in Charlotte are conducting a death investigation in southeast Charlotte where they say a male and female were found shot and killed. Sources tell WBTV the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.
The investigation is taking place at an apartment in the 1800 block of Charleston Place Lane, near Monroe Road. CMPD tweeted around 2:51 p.m. that a male and female were pronounced deceased on scene.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, the man and woman lived in the apartment and were in a relationship.
No names have been released.
