As we saw on the VH1 series, both parties got tested for infertility issues, and Ray learned he had a lower than average sperm count.

But their uh, persistence paid off — Princess is about 14 weeks pregnant and due this summer.

"Love is on my mind. Love is on my heart,” the dad to be gushed on The Real.

“Princess and I are expecting. I’mma be a dad. I’m nervous, excited. It finally happened! My first one.”

Today in #GirlChatLive, @RayJ makes a big announcement!

Ray also admitted this baby was a long time in the making.

“I don’t know the process of it — when it actually happened, what night — but it was special because we was trying for a while,” he explained.

“It’s not as easy as people think. For some people, they just go on tour and get everybody pregnant. But for me, it was love. We took our time, and as we were taking our time, it just took a little while.”

After her husband's on-screen announcement, the mom to be revealed the news in typical fashion — with a baby bump pic!

In the heartfelt post, she explained the couple "kept this to ourselves" until after the first trimester, but they are "proud to share this journey" with fans.

It’s such a blessing from God to be able to carry our child. We kept this to ourselves until after the first trimester because it’s bad luck to announce too early. But we’re so proud to share this journey with you guys. Thank you for all of the love and prayers ❤️

But perhaps this pic was Princess's way of shutting down the rumor mill...

After the baby news broke on Monday, Princess's frenemy Moniece Slaughter took to Instagram claiming Brandy, Ray's sister, is actually the couple's surrogate.

The pop singer refuted the claims pretty quickly, posting a video of herself giving blood — something pregnant women can't do.

So there, haters!

And while it's a bit too early to find out the baby's sex, the 36-year-old does have a preference.

“I want to have a little girl first because it’s like daddy’s little girl,” Ray gushed.

“A little boy is probably going to be a little aggressive, so I just want to be able to have some peace first. But whatever God blesses us with, I’m happy.”

There were rumors in August that Princess had a bun in the oven, but those were never confirmed.

We're so happy this time it isn't just a false alarm!
