Happy Friday! We made it through the week and what a week it has been. Starting off on Monday with Tropical Storm Emily, we will end the week on a much calmer note. Early in the day we will have a few high clouds around. As we head through the afternoon skies will become partly cloudy to mostly sunny as temperatures begin to soar. I expect temperatures to level off in the low-middle 90s, but with plenty of humidity to go around feels like temperatures could reach as high as 105°.
Through the second half of the afternoon, as the sea breeze punches inland, it could spark a few isolated showers or thunderstorms along and east of the I-75 corridor. The chance of rain in the Tampa Bay Area will be around 30% with a slightly higher chance to the east.
Once the sun sets the few storms that pop up through the afternoon and early evening will quickly dissipate leaving partly cloudy skies overnight. Low temperatures tonight will be in the upper 70s.
A little more moisture will stream in from the south for the weekend which will give us a slightly better chance for a few afternoon showers and storms. Plan on around a 40-50% chance of scattered afternoon showers and storms with high temperatures in the low-middle 90s.
Have a great day!
