The Duchess of Cambridge is no stranger to short postpartum stays. Although she spent the night at the hospital after welcoming Prince George in 2013, Kate was sent home just ten hours after giving birth to Princess Charlotte in 2015.
Sure, leaving the hospital after welcoming a baby may not sound ideal, but it’s actually quite common in the U.K. While new mothers in the U.S. average two days in the hospital before being discharged, U.K. moms are known for spending less time, averaging a day and a half.
Not even a day old, and the royal cherub is already perusing the halls of Kensington Palace.
